This will sadly be the first time after a long long time since its debut in 1988 that the theatre will sit empty since the Phantom Of The Opera opened.

The one of its kind production saw almost 20 million audiences witness the spectacle from the January of 1988 when it first opened for viewing and has generated approximately $1.3 billion in revenue. Top this with the fact that an estimated 6,500 people have been employed by the production, which includes over 400 actors and Broadway’s largest-ever pit orchestra consisting of 27 live musicians. Also, did you know that it took a cast, orchestra and crew of 125 people every single time to put on the show? And today it is all over and a part of art history.
