KWK 8: Alia Bhatt, Bebo On Mom Guilt, Obsession With Their Kids, Husbands And More

Karan Johar has two constants in his life - Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt, and he has often said it out loud. In the latest episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ 8, these two actors graced the coffee couch and what a therapy session it was.

Ranbir Kapoor Is Obsessed With Raha And Alia Bhatt Talks To Her Every Morning

While speaking about Raha, Bhatt said that she loves to spend time with her daughter. She loves to see her learning and growing around her. Much like every new parent, the actor indulges with her daughter every morning, talks to her, shares her emotions and says what she wishes for her.

Bebo jokingly said that she looks a lot like Ranbir, but Bhatt and Johar agreed that she is a healthy mix of her parents. Alia said that Raha looks a lot like Rishi Kapoor. Johar jumped in and said that Ranbir is quite obsessed (healthy obsession) with his daughter. He added that Ranbir did not work for a year so that he could be with his daughter.

Alia added that he is deeply and madly in love with Raha. She shared that after their daughter was born, the only thing that Ranbir didn’t do was feed her, but otherwise, he has been involved in every phase of Raha’s life. She added that the two of them fight over who gets to play with Raha, and Bebo suggests Alia have another kid so that the two of them can have one each.

Saif Ali Khan Found His Footing As A Father With Taimur

While speaking about Kareena and Saif Ali Khan’s kids - Taimur and Jeh, Johar said that Saif spends more time with Tim, while Kareena enjoys her time with Jeh more. Bebo shared that Tim is a lot quieter, while Jeh is a 'toofan mail'.

Johar also pointed out that Saif was growing up with his kids - Sara and Ibrahim because he was in his 20s and working a lot. He asked Bebo if she thought that he found his footing as a father when Taimur was born. Kareena agreed and said he had more time to spare with Tim and Jeh than he could with Tim and Jeh.

Johar shared that when his kids were about to be born, he was worried about who was gonna be friends with him. However, two months later, Tim was born, and Adhira, Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra’s daughter are only a year older than Yash and Roohi. He also said that Yash and Tim are in the same class, and the former is obsessed with the latter.

Johar said that he and Bebo are in a WhatsApp group of moms in which he is the silent one and Kareen is the overactive one. The host added that Bebo is always asking about the party and this and that, while he feels pressured to respond and say something to the group.

Alia Bhatt Broke Down After Raha’s Image Was Released In The Press

Johar said that Alia felt pressured and broke down when Raha’s image was released in the media. She said it was in Kashmir when she was shooting for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. The actor said that a mother’s body does not bounce back so quickly, and after a year of delivery, she feels her body is going through changes.

She added that she was feeling overwhelmed on the set and called Ranbir Kapoor, who pushed his shooting schedule aside to pick up Raha and stay with her. Alia added that though it was relaxing for her, it also made her feel guilty because it was the first time she was separating from her daughter since her birth.

When she met her baby one and a half days later, Alia saw an image of Raha’s side face in the media. The mix of all emotions made the new mother break down.

The actor also opened up about trolls picking up things out of context. She also clarified that it was disheartening to see reports calling Ranbir toxic when he is the opposite of that. However, Bhatt said that her husband has often told her not to complain about things while sitting in a lavish apartment in Bandra.

Hyping up Kareena, Johar said he read an article that mentioned her as the longest-running actor on screen after Hema Malini. Jumping in between, Alia said that Bebo has a fun energy to work with, and she is quite chilled on the sets.

The actor said that one thing that she is doing right is being in front of the camera and doing her work. The conversation has also revealed that she hasn’t watched any of her films. She added that if she started watching her and judging her skills, it would make her anxious. She said, “I’m a director’s actor,” and Johar made fun of her.

They played a game in which the audience answered questions based on how they perceived the actors. The first question was about the personal scent of Bebo in which she said she wants to smell like Saif Ali Khan. Later, the two actors played the rapid fire which Kareen won gracefully and by a huge margin over Bhatt.
