This show is an erotic thriller which follows the love triangle between Camila, Angela, and Miguel. Fake Profile Season 3 Ending Explained: Trouble In Paradise

At the start of the new season, we see Camila and Miguel enjoying their honeymoon together. While the two had thought they had finally been free from Angela and their crazy past, they would soon find out that their peace was short-lived.

The climax of the season takes place on the remote Desiderio Island, where Camila and Miguel have tracked down Angela’s daughter, Eva. In a terrifying turn of events, the cult leader, Joaquin, attempts to use Camila as a ritual sacrifice. As Joaquin prepares to push her off a cliff, Detective Indira and Miguel arrive to intervene.

Between all this chaos, Miguel jumps to save Camila, but the rope securing her snaps away. This third season ends on a gut-wrenching note as both Camila and Miguel fall off the cliff and into the ocean below. Everyone, including Angela, is shocked when this tragedy unfolds. Until a year ago, Angela was busy plotting revenge, but upon realising that it’s not just Camila’s life that’s at stake now, but also her ex-husband’s, she is stunned.

The show cuts away before showing their bodies, leaving their survival a mystery. While 'Fake Profile' often shows fakeout deaths, Camila and Miguel could still be alive.

What Happens To Eva and Angela At The End Of Fake Profile Season 3

The sole reason why everyone was present on this island was to rescue Eva, Angela’s daughter. After Camila and Miguel’s unfortunate fall, we see Angela getting reunited with her daughter. While Angela is ready to take her home, it’s unclear whether Eva wishes to do the same. 

Further, it is also implied that Joaquin brainwashed and possibly groomed Eva during that entire one-year period. He even got her to become a sworn member of his cult, ‘The Naturists’. Many blame Angela for the cruel fate that Eva suffered. She should have known better than to leave Eva with Joaquin, a monster in human skin.

What Happens To Joaquin And His Cult, The Naturalists

After faking his own death for a year and having everyone fooled, Joaquin finally gets arrested. Throughout the year, he brainwashed and groomed Eva, turning her against her own family. This is proven more to the viewers when we see Eva alerting Joaquin to Camila’s presence on the island, effectively setting the trap for her execution. Even though Joaquin eventually gets arrested by Indira, the psychological damage that Eva suffered will continue to haunt her.

Who Is The Killer Behind The Golden Lips Dancers Murders

The Golden Lips serial killer is finally unmasked as Becky, Lucas’s nanny, recruited by the vengeful Angela to destroy Camila's life. Becky was a single mother in desperate debt, so she took Angela up on her offer. She imitated the murders from the previous season to create confusion and terror.

Becky’s ultimate goal was to force Camila to choose between Miguel and her business. However, Becky’s loyalty to Angela wavered in the end. She eventually stabbed Angela and tried to flee with Lucas before being caught by Detective Indira. 

The cliffhanger in the 'Fake Profile' season finale does indicate that this is not the end of this beloved thriller series. While this season ended with unanswered questions about Camila and Miguel’s lives, we hope to see a season four of this show soon.
