Big Mistakes Ending Explained: Dan Levy has recently released a new show on Netflix, titled ‘Big Mistakes’. The show is a crime comedy which follows the story of two siblings, Nicky and Morgan. We get to see this sibling duo get blackmailed into the world of organised crime. What starts off as Nicky and Morgan’s attempt at a small, misguided crime, ends up landing them in huge trouble with dangerous people. Big Mistakes Ending Explained: What Happens In Miami With Nicky And Morgan?

Towards the end of the series, we get to see Nicky (Dan Levy) and Morgan (Taylor Ortega) in Miami. The two are  here by their boss, Ivan (Mark Ivanir), and his counterpart, Andrei (Ilia Volok), after Yusuf goes is nowhere to be found. The siblings now have an important meeting with the Brazilian cartel. Their meeting is going to cut a deal for a new drug route that will cut out Ivan’s bosses, the Italians. In a sudden twist of events, Ivan and Andrei are all shot to death in a hotel room.

In the final episode, we see Nicky and Morgan left to take in the aftermath of the bloody massacre. As the only two survivors, they two go back and forth with ideas of what to do next but ultimately flee the hotel after they’re told to get put by a cleaning crew.

Nicky And Morgan Head Back To New Jersey

Days after the bloody massacre in Miami, we see the duo back in New Jersey and showing their support to their mom Linda, who is running for Mayor. While days have gone by, the two still seem to be worried about not hearing anything about the murders in Miami on the news. 

Next, they start getting calls on a burner phone that Ivan had given them earlier. After ignoring the calls, Nicky and Morgan get kidnapped in the middle of the night and are brought to Ivan’s home. To their surprise, they are now face-to-face with the Italians. During this, Yusuf is even told to shoot Nicky but he fails to do so. 

Back to the mayoral election between Linda and Tom Donaldson (Darren Goldstein), after a close tie, Linda becomes the winner. To commemorate the big win, Annette (Elizabeth Perkins) hosts a celebration at her home, where the Italians are also invited as guests, putting Nicky on edge. 

During this party, Annette takes Morgan upstairs and reveals to her the only reason she and Nicky made it home alive from Miami was because of her relationship with Max. Annette then shows Morgan a jewellery box which had the stolen diamond necklace. She further added how it would make for the perfect engagement present.

Annette’s Connection To Linda’s Win As Mayor

While Annette was backing Tom earlier, she switches to Linda after news breaks out about him partying with sex workers on a yacht. Post this scandal, Annette extends her financial support to Linda and even stands by her publicly when she punches Tom. This punch was a well deserved and long coming for Tom and he had made suggestive comments about Linda's family, including Nicky’s sexuality.

What Happens To Morgan And Nicky’s Love Life In The End Of Big Mistakes Season 1

We see during the start of the show how Nicky hides a secret from his family and the Congregation at Glenview Church. His big secret was that Nicky had a boyfriend, Tareq. Later in the episodes, we see Nicky coming out to his mom and sister Natalie. 

After Nicky gets kidnapped, he pitches his six-month-long cruise idea with Tareq as an advantage to the Italians so that he’ll be out of their hair. The Italian comes crashing down on his plan and says that it will be a liability. They even question whether he’s told Tareq everything. As season one of ‘Big Mistake’ ends, Nicky and Tareq’s relationship is on the rocks. Nicky tells Tareq that he can’t go on the cruise and urges him to go alone.

For Morgan, her already strained relationship somehow falls back into grooves with Max. He even progresses for the second time but their happiness is short-lived. We get to know about Annette pulling the strings behind everything. For her own safety, Morgan continues to stay engaged and pretends to still be in love despite being over her decade long relationship with Max.
