Bigg Boss 19: Gaurav Khanna Defends Wife Akanksha’s Decision To Not Have Kids, Says ‘It’s A Touchy Topic’

In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19, the media entered the house to question the Top 6 finalists ahead of the grand finale. The Anupamaa actor, Gaurav Khanna, was particularly grilled, which led to an emotional moment.

The most sensitive question concerned his desire to have children versus his wife Akanksha Chamola's, stated refusal to start a family.

A promotional clip for the episode is circulating widely on social media, showing Gaurav Khanna growing teary-eyed while discussing fatherhood. A journalist directly questioned whether he was attempting to seek sympathy by consulting an astrologer about having children, given that he and his wife had supposedly refused the idea.

As Gaurav attempted to answer, his voice trembled. Fellow contestant Amaal condemned the nature of the question, calling it inappropriate. Gaurav agreed, stating it was a "very touchy topic."

He then shared his feelings: "First of all, I want to say that I truly love children. When I got married, I genuinely wished from the bottom of my heart to have kids of my own. It's a very sensitive subject for me. But in today's world, there are very few men who love their wives enough to set aside their own desire for them," he explained. He concluded by asserting his devotion, saying he loves his wife and will respect her choices.

Gaurav also clarified during the press conference that the decision not to have children was a mutual one, citing their careers and other priorities as the reason.

Bigg Boss 19: Gaurav Responds to Farrhana's Question

Later, contestant Farrhana Bhatt asked Gaurav why he became so emotional during the press conference when the media questioned him about his wife.

Gaurav countered with an example, asking Farrhana why she had been hurt when the astrologer spoke about her father. Farrhana replied that it was because she didn't want anyone to talk about him. Gaurav used this to make his point, saying that was precisely why he also didn't want anyone to talk about his wife, adding, "I've not come here for my wife."

Gaurav is also expected to deliver an emotional speech later in the episode when asked to compare the difficulty of surviving in the industry for 20 years versus his three months inside the Bigg Boss 19 house.
