Recently, actor Dhanashree Verma alleged that her now ex-husband Yuzvendra Chahal was cheating on her just two months into their marriage. The cricketer denied all claims of infidelity in an interview with the Hindustan Times. He opened up about his relationship with Dhanashree, sharing that he has already moved on, while his ex-wife continues to use his name to gain publicity.
Chahal stated that he is a sportsperson and doesn't cheat. "Agar koi two months mein hi cheat karta to itna lamba relationship chalta kya? (If you get caught in the second month itself, how would the relationship last so long?)," he said, adding that for him, this chapter is over, done and dusted. He has moved forward with his life, and everyone else should too.
He also noted that their marriage lasted 4.5 years, questioning how Dhanashree could have continued the relationship if he had cheated within two months. "I have said this many times that I have moved on from my past, but some people are still stuck there. Today, their home runs on my name so they continue doing that. I am not concerned or affected. And I have a feeling this is the last time I am addressing that chapter of my life," he added.
The 35-year-old continued, "I have forgotten this chapter. Someone says something and it works on social media. Hundred rumours spread, but the truth is only one, and those who matter know it. This chapter is closed for me. I don't want to address it ever again," adding, "I am focusing on my life and on my game."
Earlier, Dhanashree had called out Chahal's infidelity on the reality show 'Rise and Fall'. In a conversation with actor Kubrra Sait, she admitted that she caught him in the second month of the marriage, a revelation to which Kubbra was visibly shocked.
