Dhanashree Verma Alleges Yuzvendra Chahal Cheated On Her After Marriage: 'Caught Him In The Second Month'

On the reality show Rise and Fall, hosted by Ashneer Grover, Dhanashree Verma has once again addressed her relationship with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. During a widely publicised episode, she made surprising disclosures regarding the causes of their marriage breakdown and the difficulties she experienced following their separation.

Dhanashree Gets Candid

During an open discussion on the show, actress Kubbra Sait asked Dhanashree Verma to identify the moment she understood her marriage to Chahal was destined to fail, phrasing the question as, "When did you realise in your relationship that, 'Brother, this can't go on, this is a mistake now?'"

Dhanashree responded by revealing the critical point was the first year, and specifically admitted, "Caught him in the second month," which left Kubbra visibly astonished.

Dhanashree Opens Up About Alimony Rumours

This is not the first instance where Dhanashree has publicly discussed her separation. Previously on the show, she spoke to Aditya Narayan, specifically denying the rumours of alimony following the divorce.

She explained that their split was "mutual" and happened "quickly", clarifying, "That's why when people say alimony, it's wrong." Dhanashree expressed frustration at the false public claims, saying, "Just because I am not saying anything, you will go on saying anything?" She stressed that she chooses only to explain herself to those she cares about, as her parents taught her.

Reflecting on their time together, she noted, "We were married for four years; we dated six to seven months before that." Dhanashree admitted that facing public scrutiny was painful "Eventually, you get hurt when you see that happening... It was not needed. None of it is true," she said.. The most difficult part for her was questioning why her ex-husband acted the way he did. "I felt worse wondering why did he do it?" She concluded by affirming her commitment to maintaining his dignity, stating, "I will always keep his respect, that is what I believe in." Due to this experience, she feels she cannot date anybody now.

Emotional Turmoil On The Reality Show

The reality series also captured Dhanashree's emotional struggles stemming from conflicts with fellow contestants. She was seen breaking down after her co-star Akriti Negi informed her that actress Aahana Kumra had reportedly made negative comments about her. These alleged remarks questioned Dhanashree's character, suggesting she was "clinging to men" within the penthouse, which left her distressed.

From Whirlwind Romance To Public Separation

The relationship between Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal began during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, when the cricketer became a student in her online dance classes. Their swift romance culminated in marriage later that same year. However, the couple's time together eventually ended in a highly publicised fallout and subsequent divorce proceedings in 2025.
