The 9th edition of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup kicks off in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Originally slated to take place in Bangladesh, the tournament venue was shifted to the UAE due to the ongoing civil unrest in Bangladesh, ensuring the players' safety.
For the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, the 10 qualified teams have been split into two groups of five. Each team will face the other four teams in their group between October 3 and October 15, 2024. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on October 17 and 18, 2024, with the winners meeting in the final on October 20, 2024.
In Group A, the reigning champions and the most successful team in the tournament's history, Australia, are grouped with India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka.
