10 Paatal Lok (7.8)

This series was created by Sudip Sharma and is about a cop assigned to investigate a high-profile case. While unravelling the secrets, he also unveils the dark realms of the underworld. It ranked in the Top 10 Indian Web Series of 2020. 

It has been shot in 110 live locations and is the first one to be shot at Chitrakoot. Actress Anushka Sharma is the producer of this series. Variety magazine listed the series in the Best International TV Shows of 2020. It had eight nominations in Filmfare OTT Awards and won five. 

2 TVF Pitchers (9.1)

Starring Naveen Kasturia, Jitendra Kumar, Arunabh Kumar and Abhay Mahajan, the web series explores the friendship of Saurabh, Yogendra, Jitendra and Naveen. The four friends decide to quit their jobs and start a company. It has one season spanning over five episodes.

The plot sets you on an expedition, where you will explore the ups and downs with the lead characters. Its premise was even compared to Silicon Valley, an American TV show. Its first episode got 7.7 million views on YouTube. 

3 The Family Man (8.8)

Starring Manoj Bajpayee, The Family Man is about a Srikant Tiwari who works as an intelligence officer and lies about his job to his wife and kids. He belongs to the middle-class trying to sustain his family in Mumbai. Sundeep Kishan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Priyamani and Sharad Kelkar are some other renowned actors who have played their characters to perfection.

In Filmfare OTT Awards 2020, the series got 11 nominations and won five. So far, it has two seasons, and the third season is yet to be conceptualised. Critics and audiences praised its execution and writing to the point that it became the most-watched series on Amazon Prime Video.

4 Sacred Games (8.6)

This crime thriller has gained a separate fan base. Based on Vikram Chandra’s novel, the Netflix series stars Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Pankaj Tripathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ranvir Shorey and Kalki Koechlin. It is the only Indian series to appear in The 30 Best International TV Shows of the Decade in The New York Times. 

It is about Sartaj Singh, a troubled soul in Mumbai Police, who hates corruption. He receives a call from the crime lord Ganesh Gaitonde and his life turns upside down after that. The series will be set on a thrilling roller-coaster ride that you would never want to end.

5 Special OPS (8.6)

Created by Neeraj Pandey, this series has an action-packed story. It is available on Hotstar and stars Vinay Pathak, Vipul Gupta, Kay Kay Menon, Divya Dutt and other renowned names from the Indian entertainment industry. It has two seasons with 12 episodes that you can complete watching over a weekend.

It has received a positive reaction from the audience as well as critics. The premise of the show revolves around Himmat Singh, Kay Kay Menon’s character. He is in the Research And Analysis Wing (RAW) and tries to connect the dots in the patterns of terrorist attacks. 


6 Mirzapur (8.5)

Starring Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Mirzapur was screened in the Mumbai Film Festival. It aired on Amazon Prime Video and is available in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. As the name suggests, the web series is set in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. Pankaj played the role of a don, and Divyendu Sharma played the role of his son.
