He further mentioned that Deverkonda’s 2018 Telugu film Geetha Govindam happens to be one of his favourite films.

“He was sweeter when I met him in person. He looks like a Prince,” as Sivakarthikeyan made a subtle reference to the title of his upcoming film. However, the admiration was mutual between the two actors.

While Deverakonda also shared his introduction to the Tamil actor during the event and mentioned how he was curious to know about him after seeing his film posters everywhere. “When Pelli Choopullu was released, I saw the hoardings of the film named Remo with a nurse on it. I wondered, ‘who is this, he is everywhere.’ That was my first introduction to SK. Since then, I’ve been watching his films and loving his work. But more than anything, I am fascinated by his journey," said Deverakonda.

He further added, “More than anything, I love his journey. After college, he worked for five years in television and then he played a supporting role in Dhanush’s 3. And he went on to become a star himself, started his own production house and he also writes lyrics. And he always seems happy and smiling.”

I felt bad looking at that. I could understand his pain and journey. For some reason, I started considering him as a brother since. I thought if I ever get a chance to support him or do something for him, I should do it. That’s why I’m here.”
