Remove Stickers From Glass With These Easy Hacks

It can be a difficult battle to get the adamant stickers, labels, and price tags off of a glass surface. Peeling off the sticker from glass is mostly more tough than you think, some of it is always left behind. No matter whether you're trying to reuse a wine bottle or a newly purchased mirror, the stubborn sticker simply doesn't come off. 

Removing stickers from any type of glass with just your fingers could be a tiring task. Here are a few fail-proof techniques that might aid you in taking off the sticker and reusing the bottle for other household things.

1. Soapy water

One of the most basic and go-to methods of removing stickers from glass is using soapy water. You must keep the sticker portion of the glass dipped in a vessel full of soapy water, preferably hot in nature, for about 20 minutes. Once you have done that, peel it off with your sharp nails or the corner of a credit card. 

2. Using Heat

To help you ease the process of taking off a sticker from a glass surface, providing direct heat works wonders. You could use a hairdryer (Hair Dryers Under 10000) and blow the heat from it a few inches away from the sticker. The sticker’s contact with the hot air makes it loosen its grip and within 2 mins, your sticker will come off at peeling.

3. Use Hot Water

If not direct heat from a hairdryer, you could also try providing heat with hot water. Simply place the glass bottle or container in a vessel containing hot water. Make sure the sticker is in complete contact with the water as it’ll absorb moisture and soften which will make it easy to come off.

4. Nail polish remover

When the sticker of your bottle is too stubborn and every step is failing, you can count on this one. There is acetone present in a nail polish remover which is known to be successful for breaking the adhesive. Taking some nail polish (Nail Paints Under ₹150) remover in a cotton pad and rubbing it all over the sticker can help it come off easily.

5. Using WD-40

This is the method that you keep for the end when everything fails you. You must keep away from using WD-40 when there is no option as it is not a safe chemical for regular use. You must wear gloves to stay protected while rubbing this on the sticker.
