Lord Ram has finally arrived in Ayodhya. The much-anticipated Pran Pratishtha ceremony just took place at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The ceremony was attended by celebrated names from across spheres, from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, father-son duo Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Nita Ambani, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Anant Ambani among others.

Babri Masjid was a mosque built in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Hindus believed that it was constructed on the site believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ram. In 1992, a group of Hindu activists demolished the Babri Masjid and this further led to communal issues. The dispute lasted for many decades. During the 2019 case, the Supreme Court granted the disputed site to Hindus for the construction of Ram Mandir. An alternative plot was given for the construction of the mosque.
Lord Ram is a revered deity in Hinduism and the Ram Mandir is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ram.
People from across the world have been making contributions to the construction and management of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya through the official trust - Shri Ram Teerth Kshetra. The trust is open to voluntary contributions from devotees across India and abroad.

The general public can visit Ayodhya's Ram Mandir from January 23, 2024 onwards.
While entry for the general public to the temple is free, there will be different passes issued for people to attend the Aarti. According to a report by NDTV, only 30 people will be allowed to attend the aarti at once.
The construction of Shri Ram Janambhoomi temple in Ayodhya began on August 5, 2020. PM Modi laid the foundation stone at the site in 2020.

Years after the Supreme Court judgment came in, Muslims have been waiting for the first brick to be laid for the mosque. The name, however, won't be Babri Masjid and has been changed to Masjid Muhammed bin Abdullah after Prophet Mohammad. The proposed mosque in Ayodhya will have a new design and is expected to be completed in three to four years.
As per a report by Economic Times, the trust, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust received ₹3500 crores in donation.
