Have you ever seen five planets aligning in a straight line? This one-of-a-kind event is going to take place on March 28. Five planets - Mars, Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter and Venus will line up to leave you stunned at the sight.

Date & Time Of Planetary Parade

date and time of planetary parade

The planetary parade happening on March 28 will be visible in India between 6.36 PM and 7.15 PM. If you want to observe it, get ready to be left mesmerised by the sight.

The bonus will be spotting Saturn in the early morning hours of March 27 and March 28. You have to be quick to see all plants in a line because Jupiter and Mercury will go down the horizon 30 minutes after the sunset.

The best part about this planetary parade is that you will be able to observe it with the naked eye. You will not need binoculars to witness the awesome show put on by the planets.

When To Watch The Planetary Parade

where to watch planetary parade

If you are working in the office or at home, it is best to step around sunset to spot the alignment. Most of the planets will disappear 30 minutes after the sun sets. This rare sight would again be visible after 17 years in 2040.

You must look in the West direction where the sun would be setting. Bill Cooke, a lead at NASA’s meteoroid environment office, said, “You’ll see these planets strung out in a line extending about 50° or so.” It means that the five plants will hang halfway through the horizon.

Venus, also referred to as the morning star, will be the brightest of all. Even if you live in areas with pollution (how pollution affects women), you will be able to spot it. Mars will appear closer to the moon.

Parade Of Venus & Uranus

planetary parade march

On Thursday, March 30, you will be able to spot a dim Uranus and bright Venus (how to please Lord Venus) in the sky. During the sunset, these two planets will be only a degree apart from each other. If you want to spot Uranus, you will have to use binoculars.

Although various planets keep lining up in space from time to time, however, the makeup always differs. It happens when planets orbiting around the sun line up on one side of the Earth.
