A 24-year-old woman from Nagpur has exposed her husband’s alleged sexual abuse of several women, including teenage girls, after hacking into his WhatsApp account. The shocking revelation led to the arrest of her 32-year-old husband, who had been blackmailing and exploiting women under false pretences.
The wife’s investigation began when she suspected her husband of having multiple affairs. After cloning his phone, she managed to hack into his WhatsApp, where she uncovered disturbing content. The messages, photos, and videos exposed the man’s involvement in sexual exploitation and blackmail. According to police reports, the accused lured women under fake names and promised them marriage, all while hiding his true identity and marital status.
The wife reportedly found several compromising images and videos of women that the accused had secretly recorded. These were used to extort money from the victims while forcing them to fulfill his sexual demands. "The accused told women he was unmarried, and he used these images to manipulate them into fulfilling his sexual desires," said a senior officer involved in the investigation.
Among the victims was a 19-year-old woman, a student in Nagpur, who was sexually exploited by the accused. She revealed that he had introduced himself as ‘Sahil Sharma,’ pretending to belong to a different religion and concealing the fact that he was married with a child. The victim claimed that he even forced her to sell a ring given to her by her mother for Rs 30,000, which he then took.
"The teen was very scared, and she was counselled by our team to file the complaint and bring the accused to book. His wife, who brought the teen to the police, revealed that he was cheating on four to five women simultaneously," a senior police officer from the Pachpaoli Police Station stated.

The wife of the accused also helped the teenage victim file a complaint, leading to the man’s arrest. The case was registered under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for rape, extortion, blackmail, and impersonation, among other charges. The accused ran a pan shop in Nagpur and would meet the women at hotels in the nearby areas.
Despite the shocking revelations, many of the women who had been contacted by the accused’s wife declined to press charges. However, the 19-year-old victim stood firm, providing a crucial statement that supported the accusations against the man.
The police team has provided counselling support to the teenage survivor who did come forward, recognising the emotional difficulty in reporting such crimes.
The accused was granted one-day police custody but was later produced in court, where police sought further custodial remand to investigate the matter thoroughly.
