Digital Ticket Booking System
According to railway officials, “During the Mahakumbh, North Central Railway officials from Prayagraj division will be deputed on special duty donning a fluorescent green jacket embedded with a QR code at the back. Devotees can scan the QR code and download a mobile app — Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) — which will help them book unreserved tickets without having to wait in queues,” the official said.
This digital booking and payment for tickets will ensure seamless booking of tickets and will ease the crowds at the multiple railway stations during Kumbh. This system will be available on more than 560 ticket counters and will churn out around 10 lakh tickets daily. Additionally, railways have also introduced a Maha Kumbh Rail Seva 2025 app and web portal to provide all the details including guest houses, trains, helpline numbers, and so on.
