Kuttey Trailer: Arjun Kapoor-Tabu Starrer Is A Thriller To Watch Out For

The trailer of Kuttey, the Hindi dark comedy film starring Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, among others, is finally out and promises a thrilling ride. The film is set to release in theatres on January 13, 2023.

“Hato Kamino! Kuttey aa gaye!! 🐾 #Kuttey trailer out now! In cinemas 13th January” wrote Kapoor on social media while sharing the trailer video.

“Sabke sab kuttey hai saale! (All of you are dogs!)” says Kapoor sarcastically in the beginning of the trailer as he is ditched by a gang pointing guns at him and vice versa. And that sets the tone for a rollercoaster ride with this thrilling, raw, and earthy trailer, tinged with dark humour. The seven grey characters appear to reflect what they will portray in the movie – and yet they don't.

The trailer was launched today at a star-studded event, attended by director Aasmaan Bhardwaj, his father Vishal Bhardwaj, Kuttey stars Kapoor, Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Radhika Madan, and Shardul Bhardwaj. The makers of the film Bhushan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, and Rekha Bhardwaj were also present at the launch.

Both Kapoor and Tabu play the roles of the cops but in different shades.

The trailer also teases the viewers with a glimpse of Shahid Kapoor starrer Kaminey’s catchy title song, Dhan Te Nan, which was a chartbuster when it released. Interestingly, Bhardwaj, who composed it (and directed Kaminey), has also composed the music for the upcoming film and recreated the Kaminey title track in Aasmaan’s film.

The darkly fascinating world of this intriguing, exciting bunch of anti-heroes, certainly seems to have sparked excitement amongst fans and netizens alike.

Kuttey is produced by Luv Ranjan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Garg, and Rekha Bhardwaj under the banner of Luv Films and Vishal Bhardwaj Films and presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. The film’s music has been composed by Vishal Bhardwaj with lyrics penned by Gulzar.

The film’s first motion poster was released last year without disclosing too many details about the story. However, in a statement, Vishal Bharadwaj spoke about the film and about working with his son Aasmaan for the first time. “Kuttey is extremely special to me as it is my first collaboration with Aasmaan and I’m excited to see what he does with it. Luv Films and Vishal Bhardwaj Films are also coming together for the first time and I am immensely excited about this association, as I really admire Luv’s brave attitude towards filmmaking and strong commercial sense.”
