In a recent interview, Janhvi Kapoor’s Good Luck Jerry co-star Deepak Dobriyal praised Janhvi Kapoor and also said that he felt a connection with her as he received his first mainstream award for Omkara from Sridevi.

He told News18 that “Janhvi is Sridevi Ji's daughter and there’s a lot of pressure on her. She’s very young and yet they don’t spare her. It’s tough for the audience to judge her talent solely based on her performance because they want to constantly compare her to her mother."
Along with this, the actor praised Janhvi Kapoor for her upbringing as well as her talent. She said that Her innocence, passion for work, curiosity to learn, and risk-taking attitude are amazing."
He also told the audience that she is not afraid to learn new things. He said that there were a lot of theatre actors on the sets of Good Luck Jerry and Jahvi was always trying to learn new things to better herself. This hunger for knowledge is what makes a person perfect.

Deepak Dobriyal reveals that he felt a special connection with Janhvi Kapoor as Sridevi presented him with his first mainstream award for Omkara. He said, “That’s why I felt like I have a personal connect with Janhvi. Even when I wasn’t shooting, I used to be on set to motivate her.”

Good Luck Jerry
Good Luck Jerry is a remake of the Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila starring Nayanthara and Yogi Babu. In this film, Janhvi is playing the role of an immigrant from Bihar who becomes a drug dealer in Punjab to pay her mother’s medical bills.
Directed by Siddharth Sengupta and Pankaj Matta, this film was released on Disney+ Hotstar on July 29, 2022.
