Is 2018 The Year Of Ending Cat Fights In Bollywood?

Right from Jaya Bachchan and Rekha’s cold vibes to the biggest names fighting it out with each other over professional and personal reasons, cat fights of female actors are nothing new in Bollywood. But the interesting trend that’s emerged this year is lo and behold – the end of many epic catfights in Bollywood! We love watching our Bollywood divas make snarky comments or avoid each other at interviews and award shows or listening to news reports of them ditching a project because of rivalry but what’s making our jaws hit the floor this year is watching them go all mushy-mushy around each other at events. Let’s check out what’s really happening here.

Deepika vs Katrina

Deepika dated Ranbir and Katrina dated Ranbir. Their love for the same man brewed many differences and Deepika not only landed up at Ranbir-Kat’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani shoot but even ended up saying that she wants to look at Katrina’s passport in an episode of Koffee With Karan. Recently, however Deepika came out clean on her association saying that she’s made her peace with Katrina and even invited the Zero actor to her wedding reception after getting married to Ranveer Singh.

Kareena vs Priyanka

In another case of women fighting over a man, Kareena’s break up with Shahid Kapoor and his link-up rumours with Priyanka Chopra made a case of cold war between the two leading ladies. While Kareena made fun of PeeCee’s accent on an episode of Koffee With Karan, Priyanka had her jibes ready on another episode as she made fun of Kareena’s boyfriend Saif Ali Khan. Then the two were again at loggerheads about winning National Awards for their work. But lately, the two have been showering praises on each other, wishing each other well and are now are set to appear together on the season 6 finale episode of Karan Johar’s chat show and we can’t wait to watch them kiss and make up!

Kareena vs Mira

Ahem. So both these ladies dated a certain gentleman (pssst Shahid Kapoor again!). While Kareena had a messy, much publicised break up with him, Mira was the one who got married to him amid much fanfare. Both of them had diametrically opposite views on motherhood that were expressed back to back leading to speculations that Kareena was miffed at being judged for being a working mom by Mira. The two had absolutely no interaction at a party thrown by Karan Johar but things took a turn for the better at none other than Isha Ambani’s wedding ceremony! Kareena hugged Mira and spoke warmly with her for a while and its seems like the two have buried the hatchet.

Karisma vs Aishwarya

‘Aurat hi aurat ki dushman hoti hai’ – a filmy dialogue but it is quite truthful nonetheless. Abhishek Bachchan dated these two beauties before finally settling down with Aishwarya. His break up with Karisma was all over the news but things started to look ugly when Abhishek ignored his ex at an event while his sister Shweta was seen warmly socialising with her. But once again, Isha Ambani’s wedding festivities proved to be the nutcracker as the two were seen dancing the night away at the sangeet party in Udaipur.

Now whether these white flags have been raised temporarily or these ladies have truly made peace with each other is something that only time will tell.
