• Step 2: Once done, you will get an incoming message with a Unique Porting Code or UPC and its expiration date. 
• Step 3: Note down the Unique Porting Code or UPC and its expiration date, and visit your closest Reliance Jio store or retailer. 
• Step 4: You need to make sure you carry valuable documents like your original Aadhaar Card or original Proof of Address (POA)/Proof of Identity (POI) with you. These documents are essential to place an MNP request.
• Step 5: Once done, pay the porting fees if applicable, and then you will be provided with a new Jio SIM card. You will soon receive a message stating the completion of the SIM porting process. 
• Step 6: Make sure to replace your old SIM card with the new one to complete the process.

Things To Keep In Mind

These are the few things you need to keep in mind before starting the process to port your SIM from Vi to Jio:

• Make sure to clear all your pending payments with Vi.
• If you are porting your SIM within the same telecom circle, it will take up to 3 working days for the number to be activated and 5 working days for porting to another telecom circle. However, your services will seamlessly continue.
