Drishyam 2 Trailer Out: Ajay Devgn Tries To Save His Family As Case Reopens

The much-awaited trailer of Drishyam 2 is out now. The Hindi version, headlined by Ajay Devgn, was a remake of 2013's Malayalam movie of the same name, starring Mohanlal as the lead. It was helmed by National Award-winning director Nishikant Kamat, who died in 2020 at the age of 50.

Rajat Kapoor, Shriya Saran, Tabu, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, and Akshaye Khanna all play important roles in the movie. The first part of Drishyam focused on a murder mystery. Fans' excitement has just increased because of new character posters that Ajay recently shared on Instagram.

The trailer opens with Ajay Devgn's Vijay Salgaonkar saying his family is still being hunted for Sam's disappearance after seven years. It seems that the case is still pending. Sam’s mother and a former IG, played by Tabu, will never again underestimate this "fourth-fail anpadh" (“class four failed illiterate”). The investigating officer, Akshaye Khanna, is on the lookout for Vijay's dishonesty. But they face the same hurdle –- lack of evidence. Along with Tabu, he searches for all possibilities to learn the truth from Vijay's mouth. He cries out, "Dushman ko haraane ka mauka aksar dushman aapko khud deta hai." Vijay begins to confess as the trailer comes to a close.

Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar are the producers of Drishyam 2, with Sanjeev Joshi, Aditya Chowksey, and Shiv Chanana serving as co-producers. The film is presented by Viacom18 Studios, T-Series, and Panorama Studios. On the work front, Devgn will be seen in Thank God along with Siddharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singhwhich will release on October 25. He also has Cirkus and Maidaan in his pipeline.
