Drishyam 2: Ajay Devgn, Tabu Starrer Aiming To Cross ₹2 Cr For Advance Bookings

Since Ajay Devgn and the cast of Drishyam 2 have released the poster of the film, the audience is eagerly waiting for it to hit theatres. The film will release on November 18, and we will see the old cast as well as a few new faces.

The pre-booking of tickets has so far managed to cross the ₹1.50 crore mark. However, the team is hoping to reach ₹2 crores.

Ajay Devgn will be reprising his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, who did everything in his power to save his family. His mastermind plan helped his daughter not get caught in the murder case of Tabu’s reel-life son, who was seen blackmailing and mentally harassing her in the first part.

The other names of the cast members include Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Akshaye Khanna. The first sequel was released in 2015, and it was a hit back then.

Since the trailer came out, people have also flooded the internet with memes of how they could forget everything but not what happened on October 2 and 3. The film earned over ₹1.1 billion worldwide.

In the first part, the character of Salgaonkar is seen adopting Anju (played by Dutta). He was married to Nandini, played by Saran, and they have a younger daughter Anu (played by Jadhav).

Tabu plays cop Meera Deshmukh, mother to Sam, who was killed when he refused to delete an obscene video he clicked and was using to get sexual favours. Salgaonkar disposed of the body and helped his family avoid jail.

However, Deshmukh did everything she could to find out where Sam’s body was hidden.

Salgaonkar created a story around October 2 and 3, collected evidence and presented alibis to show that he and his family were not in town when Sam was killed. As a result, Deshmukh was forced to back out.

Drishyam 2 is the sequel that will take forward the story from where the first one left. It is evident from the trailer that Sam’s case would reopen, and Salgaonkar’s family would be in trouble again. Deshmukh will return to help Khanna put the culprit behind bars.

It will be interesting to see how Salgaonkar will proceed to ensure that his daughter does not get arrested while also protecting the truth behind where Sam’s body was buried.
