Aamir Khan To Take A Break From Acting, To Be With Family

Bollywood star Aamir Khan has shocked his fans with his recent announcement of taking a break after focusing on work for35 years. The statement was made by the actor on Monday while he was speaking at an event in Delhi. He also revealed that he wants to spend more time with his family. The Bollywood actor stated that he will be taking a break for a year and a half to ‘prioritise his family over his acting profession. However, he will be producing movies.

During the media interaction he said “When I am doing a film as an actor, I get so lost in that that nothing else happens in my life. I was supposed to do a film after Laal Singh Chaddha called Champions. It’s a wonderful script, a beautiful story, and it’s a very heartwarming and lovely film. But I feel that I want to take a break, be with my family, with my mom, my kids."

This is the first time Khan has officially announced taking a break from his acting career (List Of TV Stars Debuting In Bollywood In 2022). He continued, “I feel I have been working for 35 years and I have single-mindedly been focused on my work. I feel that it’s not fair to people who are close to me. This is the time I feel I have to take some time off to be with them and actually experience life in a different way. I am looking forward to the next year, a year-and-a-half in which I am not working as an actor."

On the work front, Khan was last seen in Laal Singh Chadha, which is adapted from the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump. He will be next seen in Salaam Venky by Revathy, starring Kajol in the lead. He also has an upcoming movie Champions, which will be produced by Aamir Khan Productions with Sony Pictures International Productions.
