If you are in Goa and want to head to some cool place for some nice breakfast which is affordable as well then head to these cafes and joints. There is something for everyone at these eateries be it a simple toast and some egg or a rich spread with freshly-baked chicken pie, bacon, beans or the traditional bhaji pao.
Kenny’s Breakfast Place, Calangute
If you love to have a heavy breakfast then this all-day breakfast joint is what you got to head to. This cafe is known for its English breakfast spread with options galore. From some crisp bacon to nice and juicy pork sausages and light as air pancakes to a vegetarian menu... you have it all.
Bean Me Up, Anjuna
If you’re a vegetarian, then Bean Me Up is your haven. This garden restaurant is located in Anjuna is a calming, chilled out place where you can enjoy a lazy breakfast amid a lush canopy of trees and soothing music. Savour their whole-wheat pasta, wood-fired pizzas, chocolate chia porridge and smoothies and we bet you will be back tomorrow morning.
This one is a legend among Panaji’s age-old cafés. If you have enough of the beaches then this is where you go. Here you get your authentic Goan treats. Fill your tummies with suki bhaji and patal bhaji which is served with pao. Do not forget to try out their banana sheera. This cafe was established in 1913 and is super light on your pocket. The only catch is that it is closed on Sundays.
This one is a cozy little bakery located on the Calangute-Baga road. It is a very well known place, famous for its breakfast. You get elaborate breakfast spreads ranging from Continental to their traditional baked items. Those items are a must try dear readers. Go for their prawn roll, chicken quiche, and date fudge cake.
Lila Cafe, Baga
This cafe is near the Baga river which is run by a German couple. It is known for its simple breakfast which includes croissants, sandwiches, pies, and coffee. They also offer hand-rolled pasta and it is my favourite.
