How To Make Samosas At Home?
- Firstly, boil the potatoes until soft. Then peel and mash them.
- Meanwhile, chop green chillies, garlic, ginger and coriander leaves.
- Then, mix all the ingredients together without water and rub them.
- Sprinkle some water and make a hard dough. Set it aside for 10 minutes.
- Next, divide the dough into small round portions according to the size of samosas you want to make.
- Now, heat ghee in a skillet and add cumin. When they start to crack, add garlic and saute. Next mix in the rest of the ingredients, including boiled potatoes and mix well.
- Now roll each portion of dough into a thin oval form and cut them into two semi-circles. Take one semi-circle and apply water on the straight edge of it.
- Then hold the semi-circle in your hand and fold the straight edge while bringing together the watered edges. Seal the watered edges into a triangular pocket.
- Stuff the potato filling into the pocket and seal the upper edges. Repeat the same with the rest of them.
- Finally, deep fry them until they are golden brown in hot oil. Serve them with a mint or a tamarind chutney and enjoy!
