Here is an easy and mouth-smacking Pizza Samosa recipe to make at home:
- In a large bowl, take 1 cup of maida and kneed it by pouring water gradually.
- Make a thick dough and let it rest for a few hours. Meanwhile, prepare your pizza samosa filling.
- Take a non-stick pan and heat some oil in it. Add the cubed onions and saute for 1 minute.
- Add cubed capsicums and ½ cup boiled corn kernels and saute for another minute.
- Add ⅓ cup tomato puree to the pan and let it cook for 1 minute on medium flame.
- Add 150 g paneer (cottage cheese) and salt to taste and mix them well. Saute for a minute, turn off the heat and keep the mixture aside in a bowl.
- Add 100 g mozzarella cheese (grated or cubed), ½ tbsp oregano, and ½ tbsp chilli flakes (or as required) to the bowl and mix them well to spread every ingredient evenly.
- Take out the bowl with kneaded maida dough.
- Divide the dough into multiple small and round balls of equal size. Flatten the balls into thin circles and halve them.
- Take a small bowl filled with water to apply each half’s edge to stick the dough into a cone. Ensure they are sealed tightly.
- Repeat this process for each half after filling them with the mixture you cooked. Seal the open end tightly with water.
- Meanwhile, in a wok, heat a sufficient amount of oil to deep-fry your pizza samosa.
- Once the oil is hot, start adding your samosas until they are golden brown from all corners.
- Once done, drain the oil and place it on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup or salsa sauce!
