Follow the steps to make this lip-smacking Malai Ki Kheer:
Step 1: Take milk in a heavy bottom pan.
Step 2: Keep the pan on a low flame and let it heat for a while.
Step 3: Meanwhile, soak rice in water for 30 minutes.
Step 4: Once the milk starts boiling, add the soaked rice and cardamom to it.
Step 5: Stir the mixture properly.
Step 6: Cook the rice until it becomes soft.
Step 7: Add sugar and Malai to the mixture.
Step 8: Cook the ingredients for the next 15 minutes on low flame.
Step 9: Cook it till the kheer becomes thick. Check the consistency. Kheer should not be too thick nor too thin.
Step 10: If the Kheer is too thick, add a little milk to it.
Step 11: Put off the flame and let it cool.
Step 12: A thick layer of Malai will be formed over the kheer.
Step 13: Garnish the Malai Kheer with dry fruits and serve it.
