Kunafa is a recipe made with roasted vermicelli. All we have to do is mix this with sugar & dry fruits and add set it out in a dish. Over this, we have to pour a thickened mixture of milk and cornflour. Kunafa is best served after cooling it in refrigerator for some hours and garnishing with pistachios.

Break roasted vermicelli into small pieces and roast it with butter in a pan for 4-5 minutes.
Add sugar and crushed dry fruits. Mix it well and roast for some more time.
Set out the mixture in a dish and let it cool down for a bit.
Take some milk in a bowl and add some corn flour to it. Mix it well to not form lumps. Add this mixture to a pan with the remaining milk along with sugar and rose essence. Keep mixing continuously and cook till it thickens.
After it thickens, switch off the flame and let it cool down but do not stop mixing.
After it cools down, add cream and mix well. Now pour it over the vermicelli in the dish. Grate some cheese over it.
After it sets, add the leftover vermicelli over it and press it to let it set. Now, refrigerate it for 2 hours.
Add pistachios on top to make it look beautiful and more appealing. Kunafa is now ready to be served.
