Korean Sweet Tangy Soy Dipping Sauce is a delicious blend of soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and garlic, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. This versatile sauce is commonly served with dumplings, spring rolls, or Chicken fries. Here’s a simple recipe to create this Korean Sweet Tangy Soy Dipping Sauce at home:

1. To make this sauce, first we need to combine the base ingredients. In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, raw sugar, and water. The soy sauce provides the salty umami base, while rice vinegar adds tanginess, and raw sugar that adds sweetness.
2. Place the saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir the mixture continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved. This should take about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to let the sauce boil, as this can alter the flavour.
3. Once the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth, add the minced garlic. Continue to simmer for another 1 minutes.
4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the sesame oil. This adds a nutty depth to the sauce and enhances its overall flavor profile.
5. For extra texture and flavour, you can stir in sesame seeds, chopped green onions, and chopped red chili. The sesame seeds provide a little crunch, green onions add freshness, and the red chilli introduces a touch of heat if you like your sauce spicier.
6. If you want, you can store this sauce for future use. Allow it to cool to room temperature, then transfer it to an airtight container or jar. You can keep it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
