Bread chilli is a much loved food choice for everyone. This tempting dish tastes as pleasing as it looks.

How To Make Bread Chilli?

  • Cut the bread slices into little squares.
  • Toast it for a couple of minutes, until golden brown and crisp.
  • Put it on a plate and set it aside.
  • Heat the oil in the same pan. Then cook the garlic until it turns golden.
  • Add finely chopped onion, capsicum and salt to taste. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Now, add soya sauce, red chilli paste and tomato sauce. Give it a quick stir and add some water. Let it boil.
  • Once the sauce boils and looks thick, add the toasted bread pieces to it.
  • Toss it all together and finish with a spring onion garnish.
  • Give it a short mix before turning off the gas. It's time to serve your delicious snacks!

Ingredients

  • 8 bread slices
  • oil
  • 2 tbsp spring onion
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 0.5 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 2 tbsp red chilli paste
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • 2 tsp vinegar/lemon juice
  • water
  • salt

Step

  1. Step 1:

    Take the bread slices and cut them into small squares.

  2. Step 2:

    Toast it for a few minutes until it turns golden brown and crisp.

  3. Step 3:

    Transfer it to a plate and set aside.

  4. Step 4:

    In the same pan, heat oil. Then fry garlic until golden.

  5. Step 5:

    Add finely chopped onion, capsicum and salt to taste. Saute till onion turns translucent.

  6. Step 6:

    Now, add soya sauce, red chilli paste and tomato sauce. Give a quick mix and add little water. Let it boil.

  7. Step 7:

    Once the sauce boils and looks thick, add the toasted bread pieces to it.

    Toss it and finally garnish with spring onion.

    Give a quick mix and switch off the gas. Your super tasty snack is ready to be served!
