How to Make Fried Idli Or Fried Masala Idli

To make Fried Masala Idli, using leftover idlis is recommended, as they become firmer when refrigerated and less likely to break during frying. Additionally, they absorb less oil. Simply sauté the idlis with mild spices until crispy, then add curry leaves and spices to complete the dish. You can also use fresh idlis, but leftover idlis make the process easier and more efficient.

Take refrigerated idlis or prepare fresh ones and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Cut them into slices for better coating and frying.
