Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp saunf
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 15 curry leaves
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 500 g chicken curry cut
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped coriander

Instructions

Step 1
Heat oil in a pan and then add cumin seeds, saunf or fennel seeds, curry leaves and green chilies and saure for a few seconds.
Step 2
Add onion and fry until they turn slightly browned.
Step 3
Add tomato and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Step 4
Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt to taste and cook until oil starts to separate from the sides.
Step 5
Add the chicken and fry on high heat for 4 minutes and then add water and cover.
Step 6
Let the chicken soften and then add garam masala powder and coconut milk and cook for another 10 minutes.
Step 7
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
