    Pecan nuts are all the rage during the holiday season. But most people need to be made aware of how to usefully incorporate these delicious and nutritious pecan nuts in their cooking. These crunchy texture and flavour-packed nuts are tasty and have plenty of health benefits. Pecan nuts boost immunity, improve digestion and also have anti-inflammatory benefits.     The Classic Pecan Piepie


    • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
    • A pinch of salt
    • 10 tbsp of unsalted butter
    • 2 egg yolks
    • 2 cups of pecan halves
    • ¾ cup of light corn syrup
    • 3 whole eggs
    • 1 cup of sugar
    • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
    • 2 tbsp melted unsalted butter

    How To Make:

    Step 1: Add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, a pinch of salt, and 10 tbsp of unsalted butter in a bowl. Mix everything well and mash the butter together. 

    Step 2: Mix four tbsp of ice water with two egg yolks and add that into the mix. 

    Step 3: Mix everything together and knead until it forms a dough. Cover that dough with plastic wrap and leave it to chill for 30 minutes. 

    Step 4: Roll the dough into a sheet and put that on a pie pan as the pie crust and cut the excess from the sides. Put a pie weight on the pie crust and bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for fifteen minutes.

    Step 5: For the pie stuffing, add two cups of divided pecans, ¾ cup of light corn syrup, three whole eggs, one cup of sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, 2 tbsp of melted unsalted butter and ½ tsp of salt into a bowl and mix well.

    Step 6: Add the stuffing to the semi-cooked pie crust and bake the pie for 20 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 

    You can garnish the pie with pecan nuts on top. The delicious pecan pie is ready.

    How To Cook:

    Step 1: Add one cup of brown sugar, one tbsp of cinnamon powder, 1 tsp of cayenne pepper, a pinch of salt and one tbsp of vanilla extract into a skillet on medium heat. 

    Step 2: Stir everything till it mixes and melts properly. 

    Step 3: Add two cups of pecans to the sugar syrup and mix it well until all the pecans are properly coated in the syrup. 

    Step 4: Take the skillet off the heat and put the pecans on a flat plate until they cool down. 

    Your quick and easy candied pecans are ready. Enjoy these just as they are as snacks or eat them with whipped cream or ice cream.
