Here are some easy steps to make choco lava cake at home without eggs.

Pre-Baking Preparation

Begin by greasing 3 medium ramekins with oil and keep them aside. Simultaneously, preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius/395 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes.

Preparing Dry Ingredients

  1. Place a large sieve on the rim of a dry bowl. Add ½ cup of whole wheat flour, a pinch of salt, 3 cups of cocoa powder and ¼ tsp of baking soda.
  2. Sift them in the bowl and put them aside. 

Preparing Wet Ingredients 

  1. Take another bowl and add ⅓ cup sugar and ½ cup cold water to it. Stir with a whisker till the sugar is fully dissolved. 
  2. Next, add 2 tbsps oil to the solution and stir thoroughly.
  3. Now, ¼ tsp vanilla essence and ½ tbsp lemon juice or vinegar and mix well.

Chocolate Lava Cake Batter

  1. Add the wet ingredients mixture to the dry ingredients bowl and stir well with a whisker. Ensure that you do not over-mix it. 
  2. Prepare a smooth batter with a medium-thin consistency.
  3. Now, pour the batter into the greased ramekins up to ⅔ of their volume.  
  4. Add the chocolate cubes in the middle of the batter. Ensure that you use good-quality chocolate compounds instead of ready-to-eat chocolate bars. 
  5. Lightly whisk the top of the batter to immerse the chocolate.

Baking Choco Lava Cake 

  1. Keep the ramekins in the centre of the preheated oven, then bake them at 200 degrees Celsius for 30-40 minutes. 
  2. Open the oven door only after the cakes are at least ⅔ cooked. Poke toothpicks in the sides to ensure they come out clean. If they do, it means they are done. 
  3. After letting them cool for a few minutes, use a butter knife to loosen the edges of the cakes. Ensure not to poke the knife till the base.
  4. Now. invert the ramekins on a plate and gently tap the bottom to release them.
  5. Finally, sift some powdered sugar or cocoa powder through a sieve and serve it warm!

Step

  1. Step 1:

    Grease 3 ramekins with oil and keep them aside. Meanwhile, preheat the oven.

    Sift baking powder, whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl.

  3. Step 3:

    In another bowl, mix sugar and cold water followed by oil, and mix.

  4. Step 4:

    Then add vanilla essence and lemon juice or vinegar, and mix.

    Add the mixture to the dry ingredients and stir well to prepare a smooth batter.

    Pour the batter into the ramekins, place chocolate cubes, and immerse them.

    Place the ramekins in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes.

    Once done, run a butter knife on the edges of the cake, and invert the ramekins on a plate.

    Sprinkle some powdered sugar or cocoa powder and relish!
