  • 1/2 cup besan
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/8 cup Bournvita
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1 tbsp sliced almonds
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla essence


Step 1
Make sugar syrup by boiling the water and sugar granules in a sauce pan and set aside.
Step 2
Take another non stick pan and heat ghee in it.
Step 3
Now, add besan and keep it on low flame, mixing the two ingredients briskly.
Step 4
Roast them well and once the raw smell goes away, switch off stove.
Step 5
Add the sugar syrup, Bournvita (dissolved in some hot water) and mix well.
Step 6
Switch of the flame and mix with a whisk to make it into a smooth but thick paste.
Step 7
Grease the tray and sprinkle the almonds you sliced.
Step 8
Fold in the batter and let it sit for a while.
Step 9
Once it solidifies but can be easily cut through, chop out small squares with a sharp knife.
