  • Preheat the oven.
  • Line the baking sheet.
  • Cut the potatoes into round slices.
  • In a pot of boiling water, cook the potato slices.
  • Drain well and combine with oil, salt, pepper, and spices.
  • Place potato slices on a prepared baking sheet in one layer.
  • Bake until crisp and golden brown.
  • Gently remove the chips and place them on a cooling rack.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium red potatoes
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • garlic
  • herbs
  • 1 or 2 tbsp oil

Step

  1. Step 1:

    Preheat the oven to 230 C (450 F).

  2. Step 2:

    Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Step 3:

    Cut the potatoes in 1/8-inch thick round slices.

  4. Step 4:

    In a pot of boiling water, cook the potato slices for 3-5 minutes.

  5. Step 5:

    Drain well and combine with oil, salt, pepper and spices (garlic, oregano, basil, etc) in a large bowl.

  6. Step 6:

    Place potato slices on a prepared baking sheet in one layer.

  7. Step 7:

    Bake for about 15 minutes until crisp and golden brown.

  8. Step 8:

    Gently remove the chips and place on a cooling rack or parchment paper; let them cool for a few minutes and they are ready to serve.
