Ramayana Song 'Jai Jai Ram' OUT: Ranbir Kapoor-Sai Pallavi Showcase Divine Love Of Lord Ram And Sita With New Poster

Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana is moving closer to its release date and has been creating more and more hype. On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi 2026, the makers unveiled the new song 'Jai Jai Ram' from Ramayana, which showcases the divine love story of Lord Ram and Mata Sita. Ramayana Song 'Jai Jai Ram' OUT:

From the depiction of Lord Ram and Sita's swayanmwar to their marriage and their time during the exile, the music video beautifully showcases these events.

It is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh, with composition, production and arrangement by A.R. Rahman, lyrics by Dr. Kumar Vishwas and music supervision by A.R. Ameen and Hiral Viradia.

Ramayana Movie: Cast, Director And Other Details

In Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Rama, with Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Ravie Dubey as Laxman, and Yash as Ravana. The supporting cast includes Arun Govil as Raja Dashrath, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjiva, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara, and Indira Krishnan as Kaushalya. Sunny Deol is also confirmed to play Lord Hanuman.

The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Shridhar Raghavan. Meanwhile, it is produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash, with the latter playing Ravana in the film too. 

While speaking to ET Now, producer Namit Malhotra talked about how Hollywood does not have any representation of India's history or culture.

"I always thought we needed to show who we are, where we come from, and the richness of our history, in a way the world has never seen before. That really became the genesis of why Ramayana is the perfect story of our history that can be presented and shown to the world with pride," he added.

The film's score is done by  Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman jointly with Zimmer's full-fledged debut in the Indian film industry. It is also said to be the most expensive Indian movie of all time with Rs 4000 crore budget. 

When will Ramayana release in theatres?

Ramayana will release on Diwali 2026, and its sequel will arrive on the big screens on Diwali 2027.
