The much-awaited film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is generating a lot of excitement in Indian cinema, with its release plan sparking plenty of discussions among fans and industry experts.

Contrary to initial expectations, the film will not have a simultaneous multi-format release. According to exclusive reports from Bollywood Hungama, the movie will debut in 2D formats on December 5, with the 3D version scheduled for December 13.

The delay in the 3D version’s release was confirmed by sources to Bollywood Hungama. “The 3D version is not yet ready. Hence, the makers of the film decided to forgo the release of the film in 3D this week,” the source said. As a result, only the 2D version will be shown in cinemas on December 5 across various languages.

The film has already demonstrated exceptional market performance. BookMyShow reports that ‘Pushpa 2’ has become the fastest movie to surpass one million ticket sales, outperforming previous blockbusters like ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, ‘Bahubali 2’, and ‘KGF 2’.
According to Sacnilk.com, the preliminary numbers are impressive. The film has sold over 21 lakh tickets, generating ₹63.16 crore gross collection in India across all languages. With block seat numbers, the potential gross collection rises to ₹77.97 crore.
Trade experts predict the film will set new benchmarks, potentially surpassing the records of ‘Jawan’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’.

About Pushpa 2: The Rule
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. The film features Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, supported by Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film will be released globally with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam.
The Central Board of Film Certification has granted a U/A certificate. However, the board asked the makers to remove certain words and excessive violent scenes before the movie’s final approval. Despite these changes, ‘Pushpa 2’ continues to hold strong expectations, with fans eager for the next chapter in the saga.
