Prabhas’ Latest Film Fauzi Will Have Two Parts; Know More About Movie

After unveiling the title poster of the film, the makers of Prabhas's 'Fauzi' revealed that the film will have two parts. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film features Prabhas as a soldier. The first post showcasing Prabhas in a striking avatar was released earlier this year.

Prabhas's Fauzi to release in two parts

'Fauzi' director Hanu Raghavapudi said he has a very good reason for splitting 'Fauzi' into two parts. The second installment will serve as a prequel to the period drama. The director said that the second part will "explore another dimension" and will have "plenty to explore from India's colonial past."

Hanu in a statement to PTI said that they're portraying one world of Prabhas in this film, and the second part will explore another dimension. "There's abundant material from our colonial past; stories that ended tragically but could've been fairy tales in another reality," he noted, adding that he's also woven in a few real-life experiences that inspired him personally.

'Fauzi' is Prabhas's first movie with the director Hanu. Prabhas' first look from the film was unveiled on his birthday: October 23. The poster came with the caption: A battalion who fights alone.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is slated for release in theatres in 2026 in all South Indian languages and Hindi.

Fauzi's Cast

The cast of the upcoming movie 'Fauzi' features Prabhas, Iman Esmail, Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada and Anupam Kher. Chaithre J Achar and Rahul Ravindran are also listed a part of the cast.

Fauzi's Plot

The action-packed historical drama is set in the pre-Independence era. The film's plot is centred around a soldier in the British Indian army who fights for freedom and honour during the colonial period in India. The story is described as a tale of bravery, sacrifice and destiny,

In an interview, Hanu highlighted that Prabhas will portray a soldier whose persona will be similar to celebrated mythological figures. He said, "Prabhas plays a larger-than-life soldier in 'Fauzi', and I wanted to infuse his character with the traits of legendary warriors." Adding, he explains that to him, Arjuna, Karna and Ekalavya represent three distinct yet powerful dimensions of heroism: skill, sacrifice and devotion.

Hanu further explained the creative choices behind the movie's plot and characters. He said that he wondered what would have happened in the Mahabharata if Karna had joined forces with the Pandavas; it would have completely changed the course of the war. "That thought inspired me while shaping this film," he added. Without revealing much, Hanu noted that it's an action-packed storyline set in the 1940s colonial times.
