Actor Yash Unveils Poster Of His New Film ‘Toxic’: Plot, Cast And Release Date Of The Period Gangster Movie

Geetu Mohandas' highly anticipated film, 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups,' is set to hit the big screens next year. Lead actor Yash unveiled a new poster for the film to mark the 100-day countdown to its release. Fans couldn't keep calm and dropped enthusiastic comments, with many noting that Yash has co-written the film with Geetu Mohandas.

'Toxic' Release Date

In the poster, Yash is seen with his back to the camera, sitting in an old-fashioned bathtub with a flow that appears to be blood. "The Fairy Tale unfolds in 100 days #Toxic," reads the caption. The film's release date, March 19, 2026, is prominently mentioned on the poster.

The film was previously slated to hit the screens in December 2025, but the release date was later pushed to March 2026.

In the comments section, a fan wrote, "Did you see written by Yash & Geetu? Wow." Another user noted, "2026-The Year Of Yash."

"Rocky forever, can't wait to see what you have cooked in Toxic," a user added. Another fan said, "Don't clash please!" referring to the box office clash with 'Dhurandhar 2’, which will release on the same date as 'Toxic.' Starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, the first part was a blockbuster hit released in theatres last Friday.

'Toxic' Plot

The plot of the gangster action thriller ‘Toxic’ is set in a bygone era, using the scenic coastal region of Goa as its backdrop. However, the story quickly moves past the area's tourist appeal, exploring the dangerous underworld where a dominant drug cartel pulls all the strings.

To maximise its global and pan-Indian reach, the filmmakers are shooting the project simultaneously in both Kannada and English, with plans for dubbing into Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil.
