Jailer 2 Cast Announced: Vidya Balan Stuns In Blue Saree As New Antagonist, Hrithik Roshan To Make Cameo?

Rajinikanth is set to return to the big screen with Jailer 2, and the makers have just announced the new cast. The first part became a massive hit, and fans are equally excited for the sequel. With big names joining the team, fans are even more intrigued by Jailer 2's plot.

The makers introduced their characters with intriguing teasers and showcased how they can impact the story. 

Vidya Balan as Kantha

Vidya will be seen as the new antagonist and is currently the only Bollywood actor in the star cast. She stunned in a deep blue saree, paired with black blouse and sported short hair.

The first part followed a retired jailer, who lives a peaceful life with his family. But when his son, who is a policeman, goes missing and is supposedly killed, he is forced to go back to his world of crime and find the killer.

Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the movie is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. Mithun Chakraborty, Anna Rajan and Jatin Sarna have reportedly joined the sequel as well. Its music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by R. Nirmal.
Jailer 2 will hit the theatres on October 15, 2026.
