Deva Box Office Collection Day 5: Shahid Kapoor’s Film Struggles To Surpass Rs 2 Crore On First Tuesday

Shahid Kapoor’s latest release, ‘Deva’, was quite in buzz because of its action-packed sequence and star-studded cast. However, it has yet not performed as expected at the box office. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film marks the first Bollywood project to feature a collaboration between Pooja Hegde, Shahid Kapoor, and Pavail Gulati. Deva Day 5 Box Office Collection

Deva saw a significant drop in numbers since its first Monday, day 4, following a sluggish performance over its opening weekend. According to the industry tracker website Sacnilk, the movie grossed Rs 2.55 crores on its first Monday. However, the collection saw a significant drop on its first Tuesday, with approximate earnings of Rs 0.09 crores. The total collection of the movie now stands at Rs 21.97 crore. On Monday, the film had an overall occupancy of 8.55% in the theatres, with the highest occupancy reaching 11.58% in the night shows.

Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the movie draws inspiration from the 2013 film Mumbai Police starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. The bollywood version of the movie features Shahid Kapoor in the role of Dev Ambre alongside Pooja Hegde who plays the role of a reporter Diya Sathaye. Apart from Shahid and Pooja, Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait are also seen playing crucial roles. This action-packed sequence includes catchy songs and a vibrant cast. Despite promising aspects and buzz the movie struggles to meet the expectations at the box office.
