Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh are all set to reunite for the second installment of the hit romantic-comedy movie ‘De De Pyaar De’. Directed by Akiv Ali and backed by Luv Ranjan, the movie released back in 2019 performed well and left fans craving for a sequel ever since. Produced by T-Series, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ is all set to release on 1st May 2025 on the silver screens.

Luv Films and T-Series took to their Instagram and wrote, “De De Pyaar De 2 will release on 1st May 2025. The film is directed by Anshul Sharma, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan & Ankur Garg and written by Tarun Jain & Luv Ranjan.”

The shooting for De De Pyaar De 2 to begin in June 2024
According to the report by Pinkvilla, the shooting for De De Pyaar De 2 will go on the floors in June this year, once Ajay Devgn wraps up shooting for Singham Again and Raid 2.

The first installment of the movie starred Tabu in the lead role. The film follows the story of a 50-year-old divorcee, Ashish (played by Ajay), who falls in love with a 26-year-old Ayesha (played by Rakul). In the movie, Tabu plays the role of Ajay's ex-wife. The story sheds light on the backlash Ajay faces for falling in love with a girl the age of his kids, and the challenges that came with it. The film received appreciation for its story with its modern approach and portrayal of complexities in a relationship. Now its sequel promises to deliver the same charm and humor that endeared audiences to its predecessor.
