Diljit Dosanjh And Parineeti Chopra Capture Hearts In Amar Singh Chamkila Biopic: Trailer Unleashed

The first look of the much anticipated biopic ‘Chamkila’ finally has a release date. The first look of the biopic made on the life of Punjab’s highest record selling singer Amar Singh Chamkila sees Diljit Dosanjh essaying the titular role. This is the first time ever that the pop star, singer and actor has sported a sans turban look on screen. The announcement teaser which was released by OTT giant Netflix on Tuesday morning also witnesses legends Imitiaz Ali and A.R. Rahman collaborated for a production after a really long time. The film also stars Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra who will be seen as his partner Amarjot Kaur in the upcoming flick.

'Amar Singh Chamkila' biopic starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra is all set to be released in theatre. The trailer of the movie id released on March 28, 2024. Check out the official trailer here. 

Netflix Unveils Release Date Of 'Chamkila'

Netflix has officially disclosed the premiere date for the highly-anticipated film 'Chamkila.' The streaming platform shared a video, captioning it with, "The atmosphere used to transform when he played the musical instrument, that's how Chamkila had his unique style (banjo emoji). @imtiazaliofficial's AmarSinghChamkila is set to arrive on April 12, exclusively on Netflix!" This film not only signifies the first on-screen collaboration between Diljit Dosanjh and director Imtiaz Ali but also promises to capture the essence of Chamkila's distinctive musical flair.

The movie tells the real life tale of Amar Singh Chamkila who had gained legendary status as a singer and performer in a very short span of time. However, life dealt him harsh cards when at the age of 27 years of age along with his wife Amarjot Kaur, he was assassinated in cold blood on March 8, 1988.
