In a recent interview with a media house, Amir talked about the possibility of a sequel, saying, “Raju is working on 3 Idiots 2 right now. I’ve heard the story, and it’s wonderful". 

He further expressed his excitement about stepping back into the role of Phunsukh Wangdu. Amir continued saying, “I have heard that narration. It has turned out well. There is still more work to be done on the script, but the story is very good. It has the same humour and an unusual story. It is the same '3 Idiots' story, but set 10 years later."

3 Idiots Sequel Cast And Plot

When asked about the story of this sequel, Amir has revealed that the plot will take place 10 years after the events of the original movie.
