Ashu has landed in serious allegations that involve financial fraud under the pretext of marriage promises. Reports suggest that the Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS) has registered a case against the actor and her family members on the pretext of deception and monetary exploitation by a London-based software engineer. 

Yenumula Satyanarayana Murthy, the father of YV Dharmendra, filed a complaint against the actor in a ₹9.35 crore scam. The complaint accuses Ashu of promising to marry Dharmendra and using him for seven years by purchasing luxury vehicles, flats worth nearly ₹3 crore, approximately five kilograms of gold, and ₹50 lakh cash. It further stated that despite the pre-wedding rituals, the actor refused to formalise the marriage in July 2025.

Law enforcement agencies have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Officials continue to examine financial transactions and statements linked to the complaint.
