Air India has launched freshly stone-baked, wood-fired pizzas as part of the inflight dining experience. Promised to bring authentic flavour and texture, it will be crafted using fresh, premium-quality flour, artisanal cheese, and carefully sourced ingredients. However, this service is currently available on only a few flights.
Routes Where You Can Taste The Pizza
The wood-fired pizzas are currently rolling out on select routes connecting North America and India, bringing a slice of comfort to some of the airline's longest and most-loved journeys. Guests flying JFK-DEL, SFO-DEL, EWR-BOM, YYZ-DEL, and YVR-DEL can now look forward to this fresh, cheesy addition to their inflight meal service. The offering is currently available to guests flying in Premium Economy and Economy cabins.
Menu Beyond Pizza's Addition
Other highlights include a Veg Awadhi Thali, Japanese Teppanyaki Bowl, and Chicken Bimbimbap. The new menu is available on all international ex-India routes.

What does Air India offer apart from food?
Air India also offer variety of drinks, including Champagne and Wine across different routes.The first Class guests can now enjoy an ultra-premium portfolio featuring labels such as Aberfeldy 21-Year-Old Single Malt, Hennessy VSOP Cognac and Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs Champagne.
Business Class features an enriched wine and spirits selection including Charles Heidsieck Brut, Bottega Gold Prosecco and Château Teyssier Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. Premium Economy will have guests a celebratory pour of Prosecco after take-off, while Economy offers a thoughtfully curated range of international wines, spirits and beers.
Apart from food, Air India earlier also introduced a new 'no meal' fare category for economy-class passengers on select domestic routes. This allows travellers to pay less if they choose to forgo onboard meals.
According to NDTV, the new category has become the fourth fare option under the airline's economy class, alongside the existing Value, Classic and Flex categories.
