What is SIR Form?

For the unversed, SIR stands for Special Intensive Revision taken by the Election Commission of India and is empowered for the preparation and revision of Electoral Rolls as per law. It is door to door verification drive in order to update and streamline Delhi's electoral rolls.

Anyone with a valid EPIC (Electors Photo Identity Card) and citizens applying for a Voter ID Card through Form 6 must apply for the SIR Form. This will prevent deletion of your data, fixing errors in names or addresses, and also link your current records to the old data of your family.

When will the final draft be published?

The final rolls will be published on November 4, instead of October 27, as per a revised timeline published earlier. According to The Hindu, the Delhi chief electoral officer said those excluded can file their claims till September 30 through Form 6 and supporting documents. The residents had to fill the SIR form by checking their details on the website https://voters.eci.gov.in/.

Meanwhile, the Enumeration Form had three sections, in which the left section 'A' was filled by the electors who were in the electoral rolls prepared during Delhi's previous SIR. The right section 'B' of the form was for the residents whose names were not mentioned in the 2002 electoral rolls. The bottom, or the C section, had to be filled by everyone who had been given this form.

Conclusion:

If your name is mention in the list, then you do not need to worry. If you do not find your name, then do not worry as people can still file their claims till September 30 through Form 6 and supporting documents.
