Ekta Kapoor, co-founder of Balaji Telefilms, has created history by becoming the first Indian producer to win the 2023 International Emmy Directorate Award. Sharing the news on social media, she wrote, “Overflowing with humility and exhilaration as I receive this recognition. This award holds a cherished spot in my heart, symbolising a journey that transcends work.”
Balaji is the country’s top entertainment player and is leading the television industry. She is being given the award for her excellent work and entertainment in South Asia with long-running series and OTT platforms.
Geetika Srivastava
Geetika Srivastava, joint secretary (Indo-Pacific) in the external affairs industry, has become the first Indian woman to ever be appointed to head the office of the chargé d’affaires in the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, Pakistan. She will move to the country quite soon.
Neeraj Chopra

On August 28, 2023, Neeraj Chopra created history by becoming the first Indian ever to win a gold medal in the World Athletics Championships. He is the only sportsperson from the country to hold two medals from this championship. He threw the javelin at a distance of 88.17 m which helped him seal the win.
