2007: Gota, a gift from Rajasthan! Gota is a woven metallic ribbon that is crafted with gold or silver wire thread and silk or cotton thread. It is made in Rajasthan and was formerly used mainly as borders and finishes and also as flowers and dots on many north Indian royal outfits. It has been a constant in Abu Sandeep's work over the years and they have kept reinventing its usage on fabric with much success. Here's Nita Ambani and Isha in Bali Gota for Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's India Fantastique. Their ensembles have multiple borders on the ghagra and dupatta featuring beautiful floral bael motifs. Nita’s ghagra is finished with a peacock Zardozi border, while Isha’s ensemble displays the radiance of a real gold Kuran lace border. An avid aficionado of their work, Nita says - "For me, Abu and Sandeep are the epitome of Indian couture, perfecting the art of beautiful dressmaking and intricate designing. My family and I have been fortunate to have the honour to wear their designs and to share a close bond with the duo." #33YearsOfAJSK . . . #abujanisandeepkhosla #abujani #sandeepkhosla #journey #memories #milestones #highlights #anniversary #design #fashion #craftsmanship #original #couture #classic #handmade #handembroidery #gota #rajasthan #royaloutfits #baligota #indiafantastique #ghaghra #dupatta #borders #zardozi #floralmotifs #nitaambani #ishaambani

A dream of pure reflections! Animal patterns became mirrored majesty in these spectacularly rich ensembles by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Kareena Kapoor looks fabulously phenomenal in a mirror encrusted, peacock feather inspired dress for the November 2014 cover story of Bazaar magazine . Next is an elephant bordered ghagra paired with a mirrored concept blouse. The reflective pieces hypnotize against the deep appeal of dark blue. Finally, the ivory wonder has lions roaring in meticulous mirror work. It is another bestseller by the duo. The ensembles have a mix of Swarovski and various crystals shining in communion with the mirrors. #33YearsOfAJSK . . . #abujanisandeepkhosla #abujani #sandeepkhosla #journey #memories #milestones #highlights #anniversary #design #fashion #Indian #traditional #culture #classic #original #threads #handmade #handembroidered #therealkareenakapoor #bazaarbride #cover #animalpatterns #elephantborder #ghaghra #mirrorwork #Swarovski #crystals

2006: Weaving a world of splendour! Abu Sandeep have tirelessly revived decaying forms of embroidery and stitches by reinventing them in their work. Their passion for old and enthusiasm for the new has enabled the creation of a fantasy that lives beyond time. Sonam Kapoor is a vision of matchless beauty in a Tharad embroidered ghagra set. The subsequent images display stunning examples of thread inspired craftsmanship. “The pursuit and regeneration of beauty is something of a religion. In this quest, we have travelled to long forgotten regions and villages to return with knowledge of the arts and other generations.” - Abu & Sandeep @sonamkapoor #33YearsOfAJSK . . . #abujanisandeepkhosla #abujani #sandeepkhosla #journey #memories #milestones #highlights #anniversary #design #fashion #Indian #traditional #culture #craftsmanship #original #couture #classic #handmade #handembroidery #sonamkapoor #tharad #embroidery #art #ghaghra #stitches
