Holi is one of the most vibrant festivals which is celebrated with much joy and enthusiasm. However, amidst the celebrations with colours, our skin and hair health goes on a toll. Sharmila Shetty, National Creative Director, Skin, Lakmé Salon, shared some of the pre and post Holi skincare hacks that will ensure a glowing and healthy skin.
Here are some of the pre-holi skincare tips:
Sharmila recommends using a thick moisturiser and body butter to create a protective barrier before you head out to play Holi. This creates a barrier and makes it easier to remove the colours later.
According to Sharmila, sunscreen is something you should never forget to wear before heading out to play Holi. You should use a broad-spectrum sunscreen 20 mins prior to going out.

Lips and nails are often ignored but are highly impacted by colours. Sharmila recommends applying a thick lip balm to prevent your lips from staining and nail polish to prevent your nails from staining.
Hydration is important to keep your skin glowing and healthy. Sharmila advises to drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated while you play Holi under the sun.
